Our Debit Card (often referred to as a check card) allows you to pay for everyday items such as groceries, restaurant, gas and department store purchases.  You don't have to carry cash or checks and you don't run up interest charges.  But if you need cash, you will be able to obtain cash back above the purchase amount.  You will still be able to obtain cash from any ATM machine with the PLUS logo or with the AFFN (Armed Forces Financial Network) logo.  In addition, you will also be able to use the First Hawaiian Bank's, COOP's, American Savings Bank's and Hawaii National Bank's ATMs, surcharge Free for the first 7 transactions each month.  After the first 7, there will be a $1.00 charge.
If you use any other ATMs other than mentioned above, the owner of that ATM will charge you a surcharge fee.
